SAILING Within the scope of our programs we could not leave out a proposal relating to the sea. We offer 3 courses that take place during 3 consecutive week-ends: BASIC COURSE - ADVANCED COURSE - COASTAL CRUISE COURSE Basic course The basic concepts of navigation are acquired by employing them directly at sea Each lesson is composed of a theoretical part and a practical part. A certificate of participation will be issued at the end of the course. Advanced course The course is composed of 6 lessons of 4 hours each. These consist of an introductory part in theory lasting about 20/30 minutes, a second part of practical exercise at sea and a final part lasting a few minutes to analyse what has been done at sea. The aim of the course is to strengthen the basic concepts of sailing and to acquire new notions. A certificate of participation will be issued at the end of the course. Coastal cruise course The program consists of coastal navigation, detection of visible points by use of the compass and appropriate recording on paper, mapping out of a route, the use of a GPS, reading of a navigation map and book of sailing directions to plan the navigation and any mooring on the coast. You will learn how to prepare the boat, you will practice sailing, and you will learn the basics of sailing by night. The price includes overnight stay and breakfast at Poggio ai Santi.
